From One Franchise to a
Family of Businesses
Three businesses and one non-profit, all family-owned. With a simple belief: if you hire us, you shouldn't have to worry about anything.
The Story
In 2014, I bought a Budget Blinds franchise because I wanted to be my own boss. What I didn't expect was how much I'd fall in love with the service side of things. Showing up when I said I would. Returning phone calls. Treating people the way I'd want to be treated. It sounds simple, but I kept hearing from customers that other companies wouldn't even call them back. That stuck with me.
A few years later, one of my awning vendors asked if I'd be interested in selling their products. I said yes, and Pacific Northwest Awnings was born. Same philosophy, same team, different product. Then in 2024, my kids came to me wanting to start something of their own. We launched Southern Oregon Painting together. If I could pass on my love of service to them, I figured I'd done something right.
That's when Walls 2 Windows came together. Three businesses, one family, and the same belief: if you hire us, you shouldn't have to worry about anything. We handle the details. We clean up after ourselves. We're here if something goes wrong years down the road.
There's a fourth piece to this story, too. About three years ago, I started the YAAS Club, a nonprofit social club for young adults with autism. My family has a personal connection to autism, and I saw a gap nobody was filling. These young adults needed a safe place to practice socializing, to get out in the community, to make friends without fear of judgment. Now we host 4-6 events every month, and every quote from our businesses helps fund it.
Five years from now, I want to step back and know that when someone in Medford needs their house painted or their windows covered or their deck shaded, they think of us first. Not because we're the cheapest, but because they know we'll take care of them.
